A Call from the States

Yesterday was my birthday, and just when i was feeling sad that it was gonna be over soon, my HP rang. It showed an unfamiliar number, but i picked it up nevertheless. To my surprise, it was Vivian ! She actually called from USA to wish me a "Happy Bday" !!!
My friendship with her dated back to Sec Sch days, whereby there was a period i was mad abt basketball. We ended up playing at the CC under my old place, and then we'll go to her grandma's place for lunch b4 going to school together. Our friendship grew, and i felt esp touched when she made herself available during the time whereby some unhappy things happened to my family.
I feel so blessed and happy to have a friend like her to constantly look over me. I guess the saying is true: One doesn't need to have many friends, just one or two true ones will be enough.
