Evil thoughts

It's been a long long time since i've been to Fong Seng...so i suggested to go there for dinner tonight. This proved to be a wrong decision altogether.
Obviously there's no parking lots along Fong Seng, so we parked along the side of the road. Halfway, a man came shouting, "Summon Summon!".....so, Kit Kit rushed to the car. Of cuz he had to do the running. I can't run in my heels and skirt anyway....but too bad, already issued...letter will come 2 weeks later.
Ha...most expensive meal of the week....and what makes me mad is what the summon uncle told Kit Kit. He said someone staying at the private houses along the road called him to come, as the cars were obstructing their houses.
HELLO?????? As far as i can see, we were all careful not to park in any way obstructive to them coming in and out of their houses !! So, either they're too free nothing to do, or they simply like to sabo people who went there to eat.
Highly irritating.

I feel lousy and disappointed...Holland lost to Portugal.
It was a very firy match....4 red cards, 16 yellow cards....so much tension on the field...It's true that Portugal has paid a high price for this win.
I feel sad cuz this will be the last time I'll be seeing Van Basten..wonder when i'll see him again...he'll not appear on my TV screen anymore...maybe 4 yrs later, the next World Cup? I am sure Holland will do better next time round.
1 thing i've noticed abt him is his elegant and calm composure. Despite his team losing, he kept his cool. He's so unlike other coaches who'll jump up and down, shouting at the players....he's simply too cool for words. Kit Kit always say he wears such tight-fitting shirt. Well, he is so hunky and has a good bod, so why waste it ?
Elegant and composed, that's my guy.

It was pure agony watching the Dutch play yesterday.
They were so good and the first 2 goals were fantastic, beautifully crafted...then, 2nd half was dominated by Ivory Coast. Oh gosh....i was like jumping in front of the TV, can't wait for the match to end, so that my Holland can proceed to the next round.
Seriously, with such a strong opponent like Argentina, they'd better do something about their defence. Suddenly, the whole world is talking abt Argentina..
Please....i can't wait for the Holland-Argentina match...it'll be a big match...and though I'll still be rooting for Holland, I must say, it's not gonna be easy beating Argentina.
With this World Cup fever going on, my life is now upside down. i wake up at 12noon almost everyday, then it's all the way to 5am...then the circle begins again...even Kit Kit was saying, his whole mind just keep thinking abt soccer...ya, me too.

On 16th June 2005, Kit Kit and I officially got married at Marriott Hotel. So today marks our 1st wedding anniversary. When he asked where i'll like to go to celebrate, I replied, "ZOO!". He wasn't too shocked, cuz I've been bugging him to go zoo eversince dunno when...and finally, we went to the zoo today. We spent some quality time there, walking talking and looking at animals.
We even managed to catch the elephants show !
And I didn't request for any romantic candlelight dinner. Instead, I just opted for KFC, the Superman returns buddy meal. I really miss those times whereby school will bring us on excursions, and we as school children usually can't wait to go Macs or KFC...hence, we had KFC, to my request.
Zoo has changed quite a bit. I guess it's not a place that you'll go every now and then, unless you have kids of cuz. But i do like to visit the zoo. It's a rather cool place, and it'd undergone a facelift. So, do go there if you have a chance. A different way to spend the day.

Holland did not put up a super impressive show during their opening match, but nevertheless, I'm just glad that they have secured the vital 3 points, and that I've finally seen my Marco Van Basten. kit kit says he'd aged...obviously ! But he's still my fav knight in orange.
Anyway, Italy played well. I watched till 4 plus in the morning, hence i was a bit giddy today. But all is worth it. I'll be staying till the same time again to watch Brazil again this morning.
Well, the match between Italy and Ghana was fast and good...I think Italy has one of the strongest defence in the world, not to mention skills, and to top it all, they have some of the most handsome men in the world.



How can anyone resist such a team ?

I read in a travel book that people in Thailand are very polite. They will greet you with a friendly smile, and put their hands to their chins to greet you "Sawatikat"...(whatever how you spell it ? ) Actually, frankly, I was rather skeptical about it. How friendly can one be ? It turns out i was very wrong.
They are really friendly people. Everyone i see, from the hotel staff to the salesgirls in the malls to the cab drivers, they are one lot of friendly people. Though they can't speak perfect English, they try to make a conversation with you. If you ask me what makes an impression during this trip, it's really the people of Thailand. They are one lot of sincere beautiful people. At least the people i'd met are wonderful.
Yes, shopping and food is as usual good, but somehow, i didn't give 100% of my shopping power, I only came back with 4 pairs of shoes, 1 Italy jersey and 1 Holland tee...and of cuz some sovenieurs. It's really rather amazing as the weekend we went happened to clash with the nation celebrating the ruling of their King at the throne for 60 yrs. So it was really an eye-opener, cuz they have a 5 day holidays just for this ! Imagine...the whole of Bangkok, not working, all celebrating...so envious right ?
I seriously dun mind going back there every yr just to gather my annual stock of shoes hahah

Mood Swings

I dunno why I'm feeling moody....by right, i should be jumping for joy, for school holidays are here, and i can finally have a break....but somehow, i'm still pretty bothered by work stress...
Yup, work has been stressful....quite a bit to be done, still trying to settle down in my new role. Must rise up to the challenge.
Kit kit is in Penang till Wed. This does not help either....a lonely feeling crept in...*sigh*
Let's just hope the Bangkok trip will spur things up a little...

Actually I also dunno why i'm doing this...but seems quite fun, so gave it a try...
