Getting Ready

Went for a pedicure just now...why ? All getting ready for CNY ! Of cuz, i chose red for my toes... This will be the 1st yr i'll have to give ang baos...yup, have been taking ang baos for the past yrs, now it's payback time ! It's really not fun...looking at the amount i need to fork out...
Other than that, I love Chinese New Year. Funny and shallow as it sounds, i actually like seeing my relatives...even those who really just come once a yr, it's nice to see them...i enjoy chatting with them and my mom..not to mention this is the 1st yr I'm spending my CNY in a new place ! We have lots of relatives...hence, they used to squeeze into my 3-room flat like sardines...and they usually come in a huge grp...this yr, i can see them being more comfortable since our place is bigger now...
I'm looking forward to my mom's "ba bao zhou" and fried bee hoon with vege curry...our traditional dishes on the 1st day of CNY. Then all my relatives will come and eat....it's amazing how they can eat....some even pack home haha !
Haven't gone down to Chinatown yet though...most likely will go down on Fri after reunion dinner with my mom & auntie...then Sat is with Kit's family..
