Keeping the dreams alive

On Mon 31st July, I went for the retirement dinner of our Sec Sch VP Mrs Florence Phuah. Yap, for those SC gals out there, Mrs Phuah has officially retired, after 33 yrs of service in SCGS.
It was a night of laughter and memories shared, with many old teachers, friends of the Alumni, Board of Directors etc...but something that Mrs Phuah said left a deep impression in my heart, and I couldn't agree more.
During her speech, she said, " Once you're a part of SCGS, SCGS becomes a part of your life. "
Indeed, how true it is !
And i'm sure many of my old school mates out there will agree. I think my school is a rare gem. It is a school that strives to preserve her culture, her tradition, despite having to move with the change of times. This is what makes her special, the jewel of Emerald Hill, and now, the jewel of Dunearn.
